A kuku from the woods...
Saint Chinmayananda said that once a boy came to seek his blessings and according to Indian customs he was going to touch his feet. Just when the Saint said that "by the boy touching my feet, only one thing is going to happen. My hands are going to become oily after touching his hair through my blessings." When you are a celebrity you have to follow all the customs and traditions of calling a senior by his work and age , 'ji' and by touching their feet. Especially one's guru is to be given utmost care at any occassion. Everything from the guru's arrival to his food choices to his departure in a function is to be given primary importance. Infact I am asked to eat and rest only after these duties are carried over accurately. But more than anything I believe respect should come from within. I've seen many who do these things for being impressive or to be diplomatic or for the sake of being a some one. But what's the point when it doesn't reach out from the heart. I hate being diplomatic but many a times I have to for making sure I don't hurt anyone's feelings. Since I have now learnt to be a diplomat I can easily find out those who behave the same with me. It irritates me. But that's the rule of the society. The society which is me and you and the society which me an you are scared of. You can't always be yourself. The other day I was boasting about how good a singer I am to my cousin brother and he said I am just over doing it. I can't obviously walk around telling how good I am ...atleast I deserve the freedom of expressing my thoughts on my singing to my dear ones. When can I show off? Or am I suppose to be ignorant on how good I can sing. I am stressing on 'good' only coz there are millions out there waiting to catch on one tiny weeny mistake. On the other hand there are people who go on bragging and bragging on how good I am. It crosses the limits of dishonesty. Fake. Ah ... but who am I to comment? Me just a small little kuku struggling somewhere in the woods where darkness befalls forever and a ray of hope for a glimpse of the sun's rays clings onto my mind. A hope that is like the setting sun which never extinguishes but is only clouded.

yea, i agree...respect does have to come from within. and yes, there are a lot of people who don't respect their guru. but there are some times when people have to earn it, even when it comes to a teacher. and, well, next time, why don't you just try singing a little bit? that way you won't have to say anything and they'll know you're every bit as good as you know you are :)
u call writing boring stories in ur blog a way to change from being an introvert.u suck,i swear.
get out of ur house and interact theres no better way to bcome an extrovert.
im sorry im not commenting on ur topic.
but i keep visiting ur blog becos i like u and not ur stories.
and abt stage performance aspect v were discussing:
i did not mean dance or groove to ur music, but add life to ur song.
vineeth srinivas is a big time suck on stage.and dont argue abt tht.
i always feel a singer should be good on stage.
recordings and playback came just a 100 years ago.through cut and paste even a guy who cant sing a song completely on stage can do it through recordings.especially now since the sound engineering sector has advanced and u can actually make a guy sound different than his usual voice and add a lot of effects to ur vocals, the recording singers are no more that talented variety, though the tough songs do require talent on or off stage.
and abt ur blog, its good i must say,but topics r getting to the type u know where u look at the topic and say"oh,forget reading d whole thing",i swear.
i dnt know how vikas and g-man spend so much time reading all tht stuff.they must be liking u so much for sure.
anyways dont get discouraged by my comments,u someday will b a big writer, mite take 100 years but u will be one.
even though ur whole family hates me and u hate me most ,i still like u as always.
take care
and by the way u look as beautiful as always.
neha: sorry, but i had to respond to this one.
nitish: couldn't help but read this comment coz i've enabled follow-up comments. i do not read blogs because i like people, because i think that more often than not, a blog does NOT reflect the person who writes it. and fyi, i happen to be a misanthrope. please try to leave my name out of things. i do not know you and do not wish to. one way or the other, i don't care
g-man: That will be too desperate. But I do sing. A lot.But you see there are many who become a barricade in my way to appreciation. :)
It's better if you ignore such people. Some people are just jealous or maybe they like doing it. I don't want to moderate my comments.Coz I always thought I had good bloggers to comment. I may have to take that step if things proceed this way.
Nitish: Firstly, mind your tongue. Like I have mentioned earlier ,I do not force anyone to read my blog. If you get bored or if you think 'oh! forget reading the whole thing.' then I think the best solution is to avoid reading and commenting in my blog.
Vineeth is a great singer to work with. He is humble and good. Not at all exaggerated. I have enjoyed working with him so far. You may have a different opinion. And maybe you could also blog about it sometime.
Thanks for saying I 'suck' coz it's not going to demotivate me. I blog coz I want to fullfill my dream of becoming a journalist which will not happen in this birth. So as far as I can write what ever I want , it really does'nt matter if there are people to comment or not. And please do not involve any fellow bloggers into this. You have a problem with me sort it out with ME. Since you hate my blog I won't be expecting any comments from you.
Neha: Am gonna bitch back... :)
Dude Nitish.. U check her blog cos u like her... Did anyone ask you this? This is a comment box on her 103rd post..stick to that...
Now, I check this blog cos I like her true.. I like all my friends and its my duty to check hers!! I love the way she writes it, So i'll keep checking as long as I want to... Who are u to bitch abt that??.. Dude, u dont like her blog... Then y the fuck do ya waste time replying to her posts??
If u dont like Vineeth, Fine.. Who asks you to go and love him?.. Maan.. Get a life...
n u wanna say something personal to Neha.. Do it during a chat, or through an sms, or a phone call.. If u dont hav her number, it means she doesnt wanna give you.. So better not come out on a public forum and bitch about things which arent your side... !!
N dude, no personal offence.. Just dont show ur attitude on her blogs. Stay away from it if you dont like..!! Chao..
N neha, just block these posts man! Moderate it or something...
hmm very true... what is the point of something that is not done from the heart... :-)
Life is where the heart lies...
inspiring :-)
i have been listening to this song nagumo on youtube for more than a dozen times a week and hence today decided to find the identity of the singer. First stop is a google search and voila!! i have landed here. Before I go ahead, are you the very same person?
BTW, your post has a good theme. If you structure it in a different way it would turned out much better.
I am going to read the rest of your blog, and wait for you to confirm.
P.S: pls turn off the word-verification.
Its always good to know what u r capable of , Where you stand in life and how long u need to go..
U got the perfect idea as to what ur dreams are, how hard you need to work for it and more ovr, self-belief. Sometimes, people mix up the self belief with over confidence... I personally believe its the primary weapon for a successful life... Over confidence is when you keep on thinking am too good without really trying to find out if u are.. and Self belief is the one when u know u are capable of this n that only cos u know it....
n Kuku... U'll be the falcon someday.. :)...
and my dear neha,
i hav nothing against u also ok.i just told u my view.i swear i never wanted to discuss such stuff wid ur friends but then i was forced to.
i always want to see u rise in life and become one amongst the best in watever u do.
so gud luck.no hard feelings ok.
wid love
ur own nitish
Raaji: Thanks :)
ak: Yes ,I am the person who sang Nagumo. Thanks for the kind words.
Vikas: Thanks for the support buddy. Yes the falcon is not far away. I guess I will have to start moderating my comments if things move this way.
Nitish: This is not a fight club. Please avoid those harsh comments. And if you do not enjoy my blog, please stop visiting it.
*peace*
this is really funny..!! chal.. u moderate comments for ur good...
Neha ,
I agree with g-man's comment : 'keep singing '
&
v i k's suggestion : ' moderate comments for your good ' .
Nitish: Thanks for the criticism. Will take it positive. And it's a NO for a chat.

Vikas: word verification? Maybe coz I give it a dam
Nitish: Sure.
Hey Neha,
How are you doing? Didn't know your last name was Sasikumar..I haven't been to your blog in such a long time...
Touching the feet of a guru, should, as you said, come from within. And only reason is that you consider him a guru, that in a particular field, you are yet to reach his/her heights of excellence, and hence the symbolism that says, "I bow before you, I am (metaphorically) at your feet, please raise me to your levels.
And singing, is a talent that a few people like you get by birth (I believe), and upon honing, you get really good at it. All you need is patience, you really don't have to go around telling everyone that you are a good singer, all you need to do is to sing - and keep singing - and people will say themselves that you are a good singer.
Nice to see people fighting over your blog -in a way ;)
Regards,
Ananth
Ananth: It's so nice to see you after such a long long time. Thanks for the re visit. Well I was just saying that I have the rights of showing off atleast whem I am at home and don't have to behave like a doll all the time.
