The truth behind Reality in reel world needs to be revealed

Hey ... I guess most of you are daily viewers of reality shows... (would not like to be precise about the names)...I am sure more than half of you will be voting for your favourite singer through the sms system ! Well more than showcasing talents... it's like a profit making business for mobile companies :) !!

I wonder how many of you actually sms on the basis of talent .. I can guarantee most of you sms sympathetically .. or because the person performing is your 'bestest' friend... or because you are obliged to that person .. or because you think he/she can do wonders with their smile!... But how many of you actually vote for the performer because he/she performs good?? And where do the winners of these shows disappear? any clue?? they release albums... do a lot of shows... but then after a year or two where are they ?PONDER

Do you think sms is the best way through which we can choose our singers ?.. Why don't we leave that job to the professionals... just a suggestion....:) And i think it's better watching Ekta Kapoor's 'K' series than watch the cat fights between various panels..besides... is it necessary for today's singers to dance along with their singing... When it's so hard to sing and create an impression ... you ask us to dance along !!... what more could we ask for .. :-)

P.S. I am not criticising any particular channel or T.V. show .. was generally voicing my opinion

Well, I would say u r right to an extent. Such shows are really nothing but a pile of crap most of the times, but save few. Even the last Indian Idol wasnt worthy of the title.
But then, the thing is that singers get rid of the stage fear, they get exposed to lots of other talented singers and helps them rectify their faults. Apart, u get to interact with lots of celebrated musicians d xperience of which puts u way ahead of others.
India is never devoid of singers, there are aplenty. So, to keep comng back with albums would be tough. U See Abhijeet Sawant, He has come out with his second album and people are enjoying it.
So, Half right. But dont completely right it off.
n neha, The best thing abt ur blog is ur pics :) he hehe!!

You are directly pointing towards the Indian Idol!...
Well sms or calls to choose your favourite artist/singer/or anything is perfectly right, cause if u leave it to the 'professionals', then how is it the 'indian idol', it would then be the 'professional panel idol', wont it?

yes some people may vote out of sympathy, 'friendship', blah blah!... but not each and everyone would do that, cause say for example, me and you! we dont know any of the singers, we dont give a @#$% about any singer, but we voted for them cause we got entertained by them, we enjoyed their work! so i guess its pretty harsh on you blaming each and everyone of them.
the entertainment business is a rats race, and people lose their dignity as well in it, this i bet is a much better way to get to the top! what do you say??? :-)
and as for Ekta Kapoor, she SUCKS!

p.s. :- why have u been deleting some of the comments?

But there are maniacs out there, yes, it's more because they like that particular performer more for the looks than actual talent. I hate the K series, because i'm more involved in other serials on other channels.. Lol.. Actually there are some good ones on some new channels these days that focus more on the problems in India, while my favorite 'Woh rehne Wali Mehlon Ki' on sahara preaches non violent methods of solving problems. It tells us how love can transform the heart of the devil.
